What is a Manuscript Evaluation?

Do you have a finished manuscript or a partially finished manuscript and you want professional advice on what’s working, what’s not working and what you need to do next? But you don’t want to pay the price of a full developmental edit?  

I offer manuscript evaluations tailored to your goals for your book. I’ll read your entire manuscript (or partial manuscript if that’s all you’ve got) and evaluate it based on proven criteria that will highlight its strengths and weaknesses and assess it for reader readiness.

✅ A complete read of your manuscript

✅ An evaluation based on proven criteria that assesses things like structure, narrative drive, character arc, POV, flow and theme/message.

✅ A letter explaining that evaluation with supportive feedback, information on what’s working and what isn’t, and suggestions for improvement.

✅ A 30-minute call to discuss my feedback.

✅ A two- to three-week turnaround time (depending on availability)
